Here is a close-up of rust on the passenger side door's lower hinge area. This and other spots were not visible before the car was stripped—bondo and paint covered the problems.

This sort of rust is really hard to fix. Fortunately, I had NOS door skins. Taking the doors completely apart was a lot of work, but the results were worth it.
