On Monday, I drove the car from Duanne's shop to the convention site—almost 20 miles. Here you can see the car, along with Bill Jabs' '66 Canadian turbo coupe and Duane Wentlandt's '61 Rampside, under the awning that is part of Ken Garchow's car hauler. Folks loved being able to look at the cars while being out of the direct sun.
The trip to the convention site had a little drama—a right rear brake shoe was sticking and eventually made it very difficult to drive the car, so I pulled off the road (in rush hour traffic) just 1/2 mile from the finish. Richard Jenkins kindly winched the car up onto his trailer and hauled it the rest of the way. Whew!
