The last item on the car that I knew to be incorrect was the gas tank. When the car was restored in 2005, we installed a beautiful repro tank from Clark's Corvair Parts. At that time, I didn't realize that late model Canadian Corvair tanks were different. Sure enough, they are. Although generally the same, the flange where the two halves join has dramatically rounded corners.

Rob Hall provided an original tank and Brian Nordby did a great job of repairing the tank's metal. There was the usual amount of rust in the bottom of the tank and Brian worked his magic to make it go away. Dean Richardson sealed the inside of the tank and then painted the outside (using Eastwood Tank Tone).

Duane Wentlandt and Bill Jabs graciously swapped tanks just before the 2014 CORSA convention, while I was out of town.
